Love Yourself This Valentine's Day

Love Yourself This Valentine's Day

Love is in the air!

Valentine’s Day, Gal-entine’s Day, Pal-entine’s Day… we’ve heard them all. There is a lot of hype surrounding the idea of celebrating relationships on February 14th,  romantic or other.

But why not take some time for yourself this Valentine’s Day, whether you’re in a relationship or not.  You are, really, the most important person in your life and it is so important to value and take care of yourself.

So B.Y.O.B. this Valentine’s Day— Be Your Own “Bae”.

Below are some simple tips to get you feeling the self-love:

  • Treat yourself

Remember the importance of indulging in something that brings you joy and excitement. Whether it’s buying yourself a new book, getting a manicure or enjoying a piece of chocolate (it is Valentine’s Day, after all!), you deserve a little treat. It’s good for the soul.

  • Destress

With how hectic our lives are, your mind deserves a break. Adult coloring books, crossword puzzles, yoga, meditation… there are many ways to destress from the day and relax. It doesn’t have to take long, but set aside a little bit of time this Valentine’s Day to unplug, give your mind a break, and enjoy a relaxing activity.

  • Eat Well

And better yet, try out a new recipe that you’ve been wanting to make, or cook up your old favorite meal. You deserve it!

  • Exercise… and Recover Properly

Moving your body, even a little bit, every day can help boost your immune system, increase energy, help with weight loss and make you happier. Make an effort to participate in some physical activity to show your body some love this Valentine’s Day. And make it fun—try a Zumba class, go on a hike, or grab a friend for a nice, long walk.   After you finish exercising, don’t forget the importance of recovery! That’s where OOFOS can help. Recovery starts from the feet, up, so slip into a pair of OOFOS after any activity and you’ll be feeling better in no time. Click here to shop.

  • Get Your Rest

You’ve heard it said again and again, sleep is so important. In fact, for an overall healthy lifestyle, it’s been said that sleep trumps eating well and exercising. It’s easy to get wrapped up in the busyness of our day-to-day lives and sleep can take a backseat to trying to accomplish everything. Take some time this Valentine’s Day to catch some zzz’s, and be sure to turn off social media at least 30 minutes before bed for better quality rest.

At OOFOS, we’re all about “making yOO feel better”, and the best way to do that is through your own self-love. So take some time to pamper yourself this Valentine’s Day.
