June 6th is Global Running Day, a world-wide celebration of running. Whether you’re a seasoned distance runner or simply able to run a lap around your block, Global Running Day is a day to have fun being active.
In recognition of Global Running Day, celebrated across over 120 countries, we want to encourage you to get moving.

The Japanese call this practice “river tracing.” In other parts of the word, it’s called “river trekking.” Many call it just plain old “walking down a stream bed” or “river hiking.” Whatever you call it, it’s an unavoidable and even attractive part of canyoneering.
Stream hiking is also sometimes necessary to see hidden waterfalls and other spectacular sights. It’s a good way to keep cool in hot weather. And it’s definitely great for the ‘gram, if you’re brave enough to get your phone out on sometimes slippery surfaces above running water to get a shot of the unusual territory you’ve ventured into.
