Responsible for driving efficient new customer acquisition through paid search while contributing to our broader acquisition strategy.

This is a hands-on execution role for someone who thrives in the weeds of campaign management but also brings strategic thinking to how search fits into the full acquisition funnel. You'll work within a close-knit team of channel specialists and collaborate regularly with your peers on Paid Social and Programmatic to align on cross-channel strategy.

The ideal candidate is analytically sharp, highly organized, and genuinely excited about search. Someone who geeks out over Quality Scores, auction insights, and bid strategy just as much as they care about hitting CAC targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Campaign Management & Execution

  • Own end-to-end management of all paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, including Search, Shopping, Performance Max, and YouTube.
  • Build, launch, and continuously optimize campaigns with a focus on new customer acquisition, ROAS, and efficient CAC.
  • Manage keyword strategy, research, expansion, match type management, and negative keyword hygiene to maximize relevant reach and minimize wasted spend.
  • Develop and refine ad copy across text, responsive search, and shopping formats, ensuring messaging is on-brand and conversion-optimized.
  • Own product feed management and optimization in Google Merchant Center for Shopping and Performance Max campaigns.

Optimization & Testing

  • Execute a regular cadence of A/B tests across ad copy, landing pages, bidding strategies, and audience targeting to drive continuous performance improvement.
  • Monitor campaign performance daily and proactively adjust bids, budgets, and targeting based on performance signals.
  • Develop and manage audience strategies using Customer Match, in-market audiences, and remarketing lists to improve efficiency.
  • Analyze search term reports, auction insights, and Quality Score data to identify optimization opportunities.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Own paid search reporting, building and maintaining channel dashboards tracking impressions, clicks, CVR, CPA, ROAS, and new customer metrics.
  • Deliver weekly and monthly performance recaps to the Senior Acquisition Manager with clear insights and recommended actions.
  • Partner with the Analytics team to ensure accurate conversion tracking, UTM hygiene, and attribution integrity across search campaigns.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities in performance data and communicate findings proactively.

Cross-Channel Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Paid Social and Programmatic Specialists to align messaging, audience sequencing, and budget pacing across channels.
  • Partner with the Sr. Creative Strategist to develop compelling ad copy and landing page messaging informed by search intent data.
  • Work with the Senior Acquisition Manager to align search strategy with broader acquisition goals and seasonal priorities.
  • Provide search intent and keyword insights to Brand and Content teams to inform organic and editorial strategy.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on paid search experience, managing campaigns directly in Google Ads (required) and Microsoft Advertising (preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, Communications, Analytics, or related field.
  • Proven track record of managing significant search budgets ($10M+ annually) with demonstrable impact on CPA, ROAS, or revenue growth.
  • Experience with Google Shopping and/or Performance Max campaigns, including product feed management.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce or DTC brands strongly preferred; footwear or apparel experience a plus.
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager, GA4, and conversion tracking setup a plus.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Deep proficiency in Google Ads UI, Google Merchant Center, and Google Analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable pulling and synthesizing data in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with BI tools a plus.
  • Solid understanding of attribution models and how they impact paid search measurement.
  • Strong written communication skills, able to write concise, compelling ad copy that balances brand voice and performance intent.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail; able to manage multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously.

Mindset

  • Detail-oriented and methodical - you don't let things slip through the cracks.
  • Proactive and curious - you don't wait to be told when something needs optimizing.
  • Collaborative team player - you're comfortable working closely with peers across channels and functions.
  • Growth-oriented - you're hungry to expand your skill set and stay ahead of platform changes.

Leadership/Cultural Requirements:

  • Cultural fit is crucial – Strong desire to make people feel good and live our brand ethos is a must.
  • Bring a positive, solutions-oriented mindset and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrates initiative, anticipates issues, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.

  • Use effective communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment under tight deadlines.
