HR Business Partner

The HR Business Partner works closely with people leaders to align business needs with practical people strategies and solutions. The role provides day-to-day guidance across employee relations, talent planning, organizational change, performance, and engagement, while partnering with HR colleagues and escalating complex matters as appropriate. Success is measured by responsive partnership, consistent execution of people practices, stronger manager capability, and positive employee and business outcomes. This role is based at our headquarters in Braintree, MA and is hybrid with a required 3 days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Partnering: Partner with leaders and managers on team effectiveness, workforce planning, organizational changes, performance, culture, and day-to-day people needs. Apply sound judgment, ensure compliance with legal and internal requirements, and escalate complex or high-risk concerns when appropriate.
  • Employee Relations: Manage employee relations matters, including performance concerns, workplace issues, and organizational changes. Conduct fair and timely assessments, maintain appropriate documentation, and partner with HR leadership, Legal, and specialist teams on sensitive or high-risk matters.
  • Talent Acquisition: Recruit for assigned roles, partnering with hiring managers to define needs, assess candidates, and make thoughtful selection decisions aligned with OOFOS’ mission and values.
  • Talent Management & Development: Support talent reviews, succession planning, and performance management processes. Identify individual and team development needs, use people data to surface trends, and help leaders translate insights into practical development and retention plans.
  • Culture & Engagement: Implement programs and initiatives that strengthen engagement, retention, and the employee experience. Coordinate and continuously improve onboarding for new employees, and partner with employee resource groups on activations, events, and initiatives.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 4+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience partnering with managers and business leaders in a dynamic organization.
  • BS/BA in human resources, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Working knowledge of employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, talent management, organizational change, and applicable employment laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships, influence stakeholders, handle sensitive matters with discretion, and balance employee and business needs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to interpret people data and translate findings into practical recommendations.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting consumer products, retail, footwear, or another multi-channel growth business.
  • Experience supporting organizational growth, change, or evolving business needs.
  • Proficiency with HRIS, applicant tracking, and talent management systems.
  • Experience utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) solutions and workflow automation technologies to enhance employee experiences and improve operational effectiveness.

Job Type: Full time - Exempt, Hybrid based in Braintree, MA (Minimum 3 days onsite.)
