Social, PR & Influencer Associate

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Social, PR & Influencer Associate to join our Marketing team. As an Associate, you’ll play a critical supporting role in how the world experiences the OOFOS brand. Reporting directly to the Director of PR & Influencer, you’ll help execute initiatives that drive awareness, credibility, and consumer connection through media coverage, influencer partnerships, and compelling storytelling. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their career in PR, influencer, and social media. You’ll help manage day-to-day coordination across press, creator, and organic social activities—fueling brand awareness and buzz through product launches, community impact, and OOFOS’ mission of helping people feel better.
Key Responsibilities
PR Support
- Assist with drafting press releases, media alerts, and briefing documents.
- Coordinate sample requests, product seeding, and media mailers.
- Support planning and logistics for press events, interviews, and speaking opportunities, including travel and staffing.
- Work cross-functionally with internal product and marketing teams to understand brand and product story priorities.
- Create, gather and share necessary materials, imagery and tools with PR agency to enable them to successfully convey OOFOS information to media.
- Build strong relationships with media contacts.
- Amplify press coverage across OOFOS channels (internal, social (paid and organic) and email).
Influencer & Creator Program
- Coordinate influencer gifting, tracking shipments, and organizing content calendars.
- Support influencer agency partners with day-to-day influencer efforts including briefing, campaign execution, content tracking, and reporting.
- Collect, organize and share influencer content for brand use across channels.
- Support team on cultivating, growing, and retaining strong relationships with key
influencers and creators, building a robust and engaged community.
Content & Social Support
- Assist in drafting and scheduling organic social posts in collaboration with agencies and internal teams, including LinkedIn.
- Monitor social media for mentions, trends and opportunities for engagement and
proactively share ideas in this space that align with brand priorities. - Monitor and identify potential crises across OOFOS’ online communities (Facebook,
Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Reddit and Glassdoor). - Integrate influencer and PR content into OOFOS’ owned channels.
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, plan and manage content capture at OOFOS events.
- Assist with drafting and posting internal updates.
Project & Team Coordination
- Manage content calendars and timelines specific to organic social, PR and influencers.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Brand, Growth, Creative, eComm, Product,
Wholesale) to ensure alignment. - Build comprehensive reporting structure to track agreed upon KPIs. Provide actionable insights integrating findings into upcoming campaigns and briefs to deliver data-driven creator content. Provide regular reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly, ad hoc) on social and influencer content performance, reach, engagement and EMV ensuring partners understand performance against goals.
- Manage relationship with influencer measurement agency.
Success Measures
- Grow brand awareness – measured by agreed upon metrics, including unaided brand awareness, social growth trackers and media impressions.
- Smooth execution of product seeding and campaign logistics.
- Positive feedback from media, influencers, and agency partners.
- Strong organizational systems that improve team efficiency and visibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience (internships or entry-level roles in PR, influencer, social media, or marketing preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Familiarity with PR databases (Cision/Muck Rack), influencer platforms
(CreatorIQ/Tribe, Aspire, GRIN), or social media management tools (Sprout) a plus. - Passion for storytelling, social media, and building brand awareness.
- Interest in footwear, sports, lifestyle, or health/wellness industries is a bonus.
